Graphics play an important part to every website on the internet.  Having professional looking graphics on your website tend to show your visitors that they have landed on a professional website.

In most cases the first graphic that tends to “pop” out to your visitors is the header graphics. Usually with most websites the header will depict the content of your website.

So did you visit some article directories?  Did you see the vast amount of articles in so many
niche areas?  You see if you can sit down and write even short reports, on a “niche” that you
are familiar and good at, you will be able to turn your knowledge into something that people
will be willing to pay for.

Find some article sites in your niche area and read through a couple of articles just to give
you an idea how to start up your information products.  Now I don’t want you to start pulling
your hair out by trying to write everything up all at once. Take your time, set yourself a
daily target, start with writing one or two sentences. Increase those sentences at the end of
each week until you are writing whole paragraphs at least once a day. I mean how long is writing
one or two sentences going to take you, two to three minutes? Go on give it a go!!

If you really do not have anything to write about with regards to information etc. don’t despair
as you can still own and run a home based business writing information products and or articles.
Don’t despair if you don’t have enough information to fill up a 60 odd paged eBook, concentrate on
writing short reports, these can range from 12 to 15 pages and people will still be willing to
buy them. To help you stand out from the crowd, make sure you do a little research on your chosen
topic/niche.

Now some of us may not have as much knowledge as others or are not very good at writin,g a little

This is where Private Label Rights commonly known as PLR, content will be of great help to you.
Some of you may not know what PLR’s are, so I shall give a little recap on what Private label
Rights are and how they can help you, along with where you can lay your hands on brand new
content every single month!

Private Label Rights (PLR) is basically content written by other people who give you the right
to change and edit the content however you want and also you can claim to be the author of. This
is one sure way of getting your own information product out to the masses. Get yourself some PLR
edit them, but your own little style and twist to them and hey presto, you have brand new information
that you can use in an eBook, a short report or even for articles to go on your website if you
have one. Or why not turn your PLR into articles that you can submit to article directories that
are scattered all over the internet. If you are going to go down the article route, make sure that
you edit the original content so it doesn’t look like duplicated content. Submitting articles to
article directories is another sure way of getting traffic to your website.

Right I think I have done enough rambling on for one day. Let me quickly tell you about a monthly

Reasons Why You Want A Membership Site

As more customers become willing to pay for quality information in their interest area, membership websites are becoming more common place. 

Those people trying to give information away for free are finding it hard to maintain their sites, since advertising costs continue to fall while the competition gets fiercer.  Therefore, running a paid membership site can turn out to be a very attractive concept.

For a start, there is the speed and low cost of starting up a membership site.  Your membership site can often be up, running, and earning you a profit in just a few weeks or maybe even less.  It all depends on your skills with computers and html. 

When you compare it to the cost of other business models, the cost for starting a membership site is relatively small.  Often, just a few hundred dollars will get your membership site up and running.

Secondly, there is the high profit percentage to consider.  Generally, membership websites have a low overhead.  They also may not need anyone else to keep them up and running besides you.  Your expenses will include membership software, hosting, and the like, but on average you will receive 50% to 80% profit, which is an extremely high margin.

Another positive about membership websites is the continual income you will receive.  The hardest thing for businesses to overcome, particularly when they are getting started, is finding a way to maintain income and have cash flow coming in on a regular basis.  Trying to find new customers can be a major drain on time and financial resources.

While this may not sound huge, remember that was with a mere 16 members.  As your membership base grows, so do your profits and you can quickly increase the amount of profit you receive each month.

An added bonus of membership websites is that they can be on anything that interests you.  The smaller the niche in the market, the more likely people will pay for information and the more money you can charge per subscription.

The best advise I can give you is DON’T fall into the trap that most newbies do, and that is purchasing every “How To” ebook that comes your way.  Hundreds of us have done this and hundreds of us have regretted it. Tey and refrain from the “Buy, Buy” craze when you first start out. Another thing is you will get loads of internet marketing “Gurus” telling you to sign up/subscribe to thier newletters. They will make promises of telling you that they can show you how to make money on the internet blah, blah, etc., etc.  By all means feel free to sign up/subscribe to thier newsletters, but please let me give you a word of advise. If after 3 months you have not learnt anything from these “Gurus”, for your own sake and sanity, please unsubscribe from them. You’ll thank me later as your inbox won’t be bombarded with worthless promises and information that you can’t use. You will also thank me as your purse will then me closed more often as you won’t be purchasing products that the “Gurus” tell you to.

Don’t get me wrong, there are some fantastic mentors out there to whom I shall be featuring on this website in the near future. Like my product promotions, I won’t be promoting any old internet marketing guru to you, only the ones that have actually helped me along the way to my internet business portfolio.

There are quite a number of people out there that don’t seem to think that having great looking graphics on ther websites is that important. As a graphics designer, I can tell you that it is very important.

 People often ask me why is it important to have good, professional looking graphics on your website.There are a number of reasons why you should have professional looking graphics on your websites. First and foremost the more professional your website graphics look, the more professional you, as the web site owner will be perceived.

For instance you have two websites, both on the same subject. One website has got graphics that look like a 3 year old has designed. Mismatched colours, blurred designs and images, misaligned you know the kind I am talking about. These types of unprofessional looking graphics will make your website look unprofessional. Now let’s look at the other website, now this website looks great. It springs out at you and shouts professionalism. Not just the graphics but the whole website looks like a professional is running it. Matching colours, perfect, clear images and a clean aligned layout.

Now I don’t know about you, but if I were to make a choice of which website I’d like to read the content on, it would be the second website.

You should pay extra attention on every detail when it comes to your website, paying extra attention

will make sure that your website performs optimally and ensures that it will serve its purpose.

To make sure your website performs well, here are some important details on what you should and shouldn’t do.

1. Avoid Splash/Flash Pages:- Having a splash page as your fist port of call to your website, serves NO purpose!! They may look pretty and and have some awesome flash graphics, but most of these pages will sometimes take quite a while to load. When visitors arrive at your website, they want to see immediately what type of content you have. They don’t want to arrive and have to wait for the page to fully load only to be told “Click Here To Enter”. This is a huge reason for your visitor to hit the “back” button on their web browser.

2. Banners:- The main reason these days of having a website is to have some kind of income coming from it. Many people these days do have some form of affiliate marketing on there websites. Avoid plastering banners all over your website, have a few, but plan the layout so your customer doesn’t see a billboard of banners on your website instead of good informative content. If you do want to promote many affiliate products, rather promote them in content/text form. Write a small review and include your affiliate links within the text. Brightly coloured banners may look good, but having a written review is even better.

3. Links To External Websites:- May a time I see websites with links to other websites. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this and can play a huge advantage. But please remember, when you place a link to another website, link it to open in a new window! You don’t want a link opening up a page in the same page and your visitor not returning to your website.

4. Audio and Video:- As web masters fight to attract visitors to go to their websites, new trends are always popping up. First it was adding audio to websites, now it’s adding video. Whether you are adding audio or video content to your websites, don’t have the volume set at maximum volume! There is nothing worse that landing on a web page and all of a sudden you get a blast of high volume audio blaring out of your speakers or worse still your headphones. Set your volume at the mid level and an opportunity for your listener to turn up the volume if need be.

5. Navigation:- Have a clear and simple navigation system. Don’t over do your navigation tabs by having complicated flash based menus or complicated drop down menus. Have you noticed how some drop down menus required you to have a degree in target practice? Drop down menus that tend to move around when you try and make a selection have go to be one of the most frustrating things to navigating a website that you really want to stick around and read. Don’t give your visitors another excuse to leave your website.

6. Where Am I:- Make sure you make it easy for your visitors to know where about on your website they are. Indicate clearly what page your visitor is on. A visitor getting confused whether they’ve been on one page on your website or not, is a frustrated visitor and will sooner leave your website.

    

Finally if you are promoting a particular product for example an eBook or other type of information product, make sure that your product covers match that of your sales letter page. Get a good graphics designer. You don’t necessarily have to go with a huge design company, there are many talented designs who run a small operation. The smaller the operation may also mean that you will get a more personal service and extra time spent on your design ideas.
